George Martin: 10 of our favorite non-Beatles songs bearing the marks of his genius + full On Demand playlist

George Martin, often referred to as The Fifth Beatle, died on Tuesday at the age of 90. However, his talents played a hand creating more than just Fab Four songs. From his pre-Beatles work with Gerry and the Pacemakers and comedy acts The Goons, to his post-Beatles work with America, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and more, Martin’s production propelled songs to greatness. Here are some of our favorite non-Beatles, Martin-produced songs, courtesy of 60s on 6 Program Director (among others, check out Velvet!) and pop music savant, Lou Simon.

Plus, head over to the SiriusXM App or the web player, and search #GeorgeMartin for a playlist of his best work, hosted by Earle Bailey.
