It was 1977. The height of the Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd era on Saturday Night Live.
Elvis Costello was filling in for the Sex Pistols and was set to perform Less than Zero during one of the shows. But it was this performance that led to the English singer-songwriter being banned from SNL. Costello recently shared his side of the story with SiriusXM VOLUME host Bill Flanagan.
Costello also talked about how he tried (and failed) to get arrested in Japan.
Don’t miss Written in My Soul hosted by Bill Flanagan 7 pm ET Wednesdays on VOLUME (Ch. 106).
