‘Ebola is a political crisis not a medical crisis,’ says LA Times journalist Doyle McManus

This week on the Michael Smerconish program, LA Times journalist Doyle McManus joined the POTUS host to explain his take on the Ebola story, saying that rather than seeing it as an epidemic, we should position it as a political story.

“Calm down folks, you wanna know how many active cases of Ebola there are in the United States of America, a country of 320 million people with a reasonably good medical system when its paying attention? The actual number of active cases is two. This is not an epidemic,” said McManus. “The Obama administration has made some absolute missteps. It has not been able to explain very clearly what its doing.”
