It’s almost finally here. The Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao superfight is set for May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

But after all the delays, and all the waiting, and all the build-up, does Pacquiao even have a chance against Money Mayweather? ESPN’s Dan Rafael says “definitely.”

“That’s one of the reasons there has been so much intrigue in the public,” Rafael said on SiriusXM’s At The Fights. “Because the styles between the two guys, they match up so beautifully. Certainly, Floyd is the favorite, understandably. He’s undefeated, he’s beaten a lot of good guys, he’s got that speed and defense. He’s looked obviously much better than Pacquiao in recent years. Pacquiao of course had the knockout loss. … To go into this fight thinking Pacquiao doesn’t have a chance, even if you’re the most ardent Floyd Mayweather supporter and you don’t think Pacquiao has a chance, you’re just being foolish.”

As for who was the reason it took so much time it took to finally lock down this fight? Rafael says both parties share the blame – Mayweather more so in recent times – but now it doesn’t matter, because “the fight is signed, the fight is happening.”
