Former No. 1 Adult Film Star Lisa Ann has been putting the “fantasy” in SiriusXM’s Fantasy Sports Radio every Monday night at 10 p.m. ET for awhile now, but she also knows a thing or two about real life. Each week, she’ll be answering your burning questions about sex, relationships and her personal life. This time around, she’s tackling: how to have conversations with women, writing books and breaking into the porn industry.

Dear Lisa Ann,

I am contacting you today to ask for advice on how to keep a conversation going with a girl when all I get is one sentence responses back. I struggle to find something to talk about here and there because she doesn’t really give me anything I can elaborate on myself. Me and her hook up and everything I just don’t want the texting to become an issue due to the fact we barely have anything to talk about sometimes. Your advice would be greatly appreciated thank you.

– Looking for Conversation

Dear Looking for Conversation,

In order to open conversations and keep them engaging enough to continue, you have to open your mind. Reading and learning new things can give you more topics to share in new conversations. You can also pick up a new hobby or maybe find something that the two of you can do together and then you will have endless conversations about your shared experiences. Keep in mind real conversations aren’t helped by text messages and some people just don’t like to text a lot. I have found too much texting leaves nothing left to talk about when it comes down to seeing each other in person. This is a great time to stay curious, always be learning and become someone so exciting that everyone wants to talk to you all the time.

Dear Lisa Ann,

I am planning to write a book about my life and my artistic work related with the painting, photographs and artistic nude. In fact I don’t know how to organize the chapters about biography, exhibitions, pictures, history of the art, experiences, technical artistic, before taking them to the editorial company. After reading your book I have been able to elaborate an organized, chronological and understandable writing about my life and experiences, but I still lack to polish the rest of the topics. Some suggestions on how to organize the material that I have and that I want to publish?

– Future Author

Dear Future Author,

Thank you for reading my book, I am glad it gave you some direction for your book. Writing a book is a process that requires a level of dedication that should focus first on organization. I recommend your first step be to decide how many chapters you want to have. Once you have the amount of chapters, you should label them. The labels don’t have to be exactly what you will name each chapter, but with the chapters labeled you will start to be able to arrange the content in the appropriate chapter. The next step will be deciding the length of each chapter and the length of the entire book. I’m assuming you will have lots of photographs. You can start by deciding which pictures will be in each chapter. Once you have this structure in place, your book will start to write itself for you effortlessly.

Dear Lisa Ann,

What advice would you give someone who thinks of joining the adult industry?

– Aspiring Porn Star

Dear Aspiring Porn Star,

The first piece of advice I will give you is to do some homework online researching all of the Adult Talent Agencies. These sites will also have links to the industry news sites and all the places where you will be able to read and learn what you need to know. I always recommend going to get a physical, get all of your blood work done and be ready to have to have blood work every two weeks, as that is the industry-testing standard. Once you have your paperwork for your tests you can take a couple of your favorite pictures of yourself and submit them online to the talent agencies. The industry operates mainly in Los Angeles and Las Vegas but there are some amateur companies in Miami. Amateur companies are and a good place to start. These smaller companies are less pressure when you are new and offer a lot of good advice and training. If you don’t already, start to follow some of your favorite male porn stars in the industry. They often post information about their shoots and details in the business that cater to a new male star. Good luck to you!
