Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue speaks after Game 3 of basketball’s NBA Finals between the Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors in Cleveland, early Thursday, June 8, 2017. Golden State won 118-113.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a rocky offseason so far. Following their Finals loss against the juggernaut Golden State Warriors, the team’s architect and general manager, David Griffin, stepped down from his position after reportedly not being able to come to an agreement with owner Dan Gilbert about his salary.

Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue told SiriusXM NBA Radio that it’s Griffin’s departure, not the championship loss, that’s weighed on him the most over the last month.

“I didn’t see that coming,” Lue said. “You know, going to three straight Finals, winning the championship. It’s just tough to lose Griff.”
