It’s always exciting for teams to play primetime on a national stage on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, but is it fair to schedule teams to go coast to coast following the game and play again the next night?

San Francisco Giants’ reliever Jeremy Affeldt joined SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio and aired his grievances with his team’s schedule.

“We know the studies of bodies that aren’t recovered and recuperated very well, you can cause major injury and I think that that’s what a lot of teams are afraid of,” Affeldt said. “It’s a frustrating thing. I think that there should be some changes, and I’m not saying you can’t have Sunday night games, but you can’t go coast to coast. I don’t care if you’re going east or you’re going west.”
