Bonetti: Juventus ‘doesn’t have the DNA to compete in Europe’

How can a team dominate one of the best leagues in the world, but still struggle against the other top teams in Europe? Matteo Bonetti, beINSPORT Serie A Expert, told Tony Meola and Nick Kostos on Counter Attack that Juventus “just doesn’t have the DNA to compete in Europe.”

“The main talking point in Italy is that they’ve become a bit predictable,” Bonetti said, “[with] that slow build-up play under Antonio Conte.”

Bonetti also discussed how AS Roma manager Rudi Garcia has lead his team to the top of the table, and the appreciation he’s receiving from the club’s loyal fans.

“He’s already become this sort of demigod figure in Roma with fans awaiting him at airports and practices,” Bonetti said.

Will they continue their undefeated season Saturday against Inter Milan? That’s the game of the week in the Serie A, according to Bonetti.
