Feel all right in honor of Bob Marley’s 77th birthday anniversary with specials on Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Radio (Ch. 19). As part of the celebration, the channel will air a special Bob Marley Roots 77 Birthday Concert, performances from Stephen Marley’s Lion’s Den Studio in Miami, a new mix show from DJ GQ and more.

Kick off the festivities with the Bob Marley Roots 77 Birthday Concert, from Tuff Gong International Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, featuring a lineup of musical tributes from reggae, roots and dancehall legends, plus contemporary stars. Highlights include Marcia Griffiths, Bugle, Amanyea, Tony Rebel, Gyptian, Queen Ifrica and Black Am I. Hear it streaming live on January 31 at 5pm ET, followed by encores at 8pm ET and 11pm ET, then again on Marley’s birthday, February 6, and on demand on the SXM App starting February 7.

During this special Roots 77 week, Tuff Gong Radio will premiere exclusive musical tributes from Kes the Band and Casely. In addition, mix shows hosted by DJ GQ, Collin Hines and the Boomshots crew are slated to debut along with encore airings of popular special shows hosted by Kenny Chesney and the late Toots Hibbert. Throughout the day on February 6, you’ll hear performances from some of the Marley family’s second and third generation of artists including grandsons Skip and Yohan in Miami and sons Ziggy, Stephen, Ky-Mani, Julian and Damian — aka the Marley Brothers — in Los Angeles.

In addition, hear Marley’s music throughout his birthday weekend — from February 4 through February 6 — on both Bob Marley’s Tuff Soca and Bob Marley’s Tuff Beats channels, dedicated to sharing the best Soca and Afrobeats.
