Following the announcement of their new album and 2023/2024 world tour, Blink-182 have released the single “Edging.” The track is the band’s first with founding member Tom DeLonge since their 2012 EP, Dogs Eating Dogs. DeLonge joins singer/bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker.

“I wanted to imagine as a listener what I wanted to experience and at the same time as a band member what we wanted to make and say and most importantly how it would sound production wise in 2022,” Barker — who produced the song — said in a statement.

Kicking off with flanging drums, “Edging” starts with a verse from DeLonge — the perfect way to celebrate his return to the ’90s and ’00s pop-rock icons. “Get the rope! Get the rope!” he and Hoppus shout back and forth. “There’s a special place in hell/ That my friends and I know well,” Hoppus offers on the bridge.

Their upcoming album (still unnamed as of today) will include “Edging” and is available for pre-order in a variety of limited-color vinyl pressings.

In addition to their world tour, the band will also play at the 2023 When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, NV, as well as Lollapalooza Argentina, Lollapalooza Brazil, Lollapalooza Chile and Estéreo Picnic.
