1. Purdue – All of a sudden teams are figuring out how to beat the Boilermakers, which could be problematic for Purdue as tournament time draws nearer.

2. Indiana – The best basketball team in the state of Indiana still resides in West Lafayette but the squad in Bloomington is starting to come together.

3. Northwestern – The Wildcats’ upset of Purdue was arguably the program’s biggest victory in the Chris Collins regime and might be enough to get Northwestern back to the NCAA Tournament in a few weeks.

4. Illinois – The Fighting Illini are playing some inspiring rough and tumble basketball under the watchful eye of coach Brad Underwood.

5. Rutgers – The Scarlet Knights lost two games to tough opponents in Indiana and Illinois. Nebraska and Wisconsin lie ahead this coming week.

6. Michigan State – A pair of wins over Maryland and Ohio State last week lead Minnesota at home and then a trip to Ann Arbor to take on in-state rival Michigan.

7. Iowa – The Hawkeyes host Ohio State before traveling to Northwestern to take on the red hot Wildcats in an interesting match-up.

8. Michigan – The Wolverines have won three of their last four games and have Wisconsin and Michigan State on the slate this week.

9. Maryland – Sometimes they look like world beaters and other times the Terrapins struggle. Kevin Willard’s team is searching for consistency as the regular season winds down.

10. Wisconsin – It seems like every game is a must win for the Badgers. Wisconsin takes its 14-10 record to games versus Michigan and Rutgers this week.

11. Penn State – hopes of a tournament bid are fleeting for the Nittany Lions who are searching for an identity to sustain success.

12. Ohio State – A road trip against a pair of tough opponents in Iowa and Purdue lies ahead for the Boilermakers.

13. Nebraska – The Huskers are still flirting with being a .500 basketball team as they take on Rutgers and Maryland this week.

14. Minnesota – The Gophers have dropped eight straight games and look to stop the freefall versus Michigan State and Penn State this week.
