With two games left in a disappointing season, Arizona Cardinals coach Steve Wilks knows there are plenty of questions being asked about the future.
One of the biggest involves Larry Fitzgerald, the Cardinals’ 35-year-old wide receiver.
‘When that time is right, he’s going to inform us exactly what he wants to go’
Will one of the NFL’s all-time greats stick around for a 16th NFL season?
“Right now, Larry’s just focused on trying to finish the season,” coach Steve Wilks told Lance Medow and Mark Dominik on the SiriusXM Blitz. “And I know that question has come up several times and, to be honest, I don’t think Larry knows right now. He’s a guy that’s going to take his time and when that time is right, he’s going to inform us exactly what he wants to do.
‘As a fan and as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, selfishly, I’d love to have him back’
“But as a fan of the game and as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, selfishly, I’d love to have him back, not only next year but many years to come. But Larry will make that decision when that time comes with him.”
