6 must-hear Judas Priest songs for die-hard fans + heavy-metal newbies

In celebration of Judas Priest’s brand-new release (and 17th studio album), Redeemer of Souls, Ozzy’s Boneyard and Liquid Metal are honored to broadcast the SiriusXM Judas Priest Town Hall, hosted by comedian and fellow metalhead Jim Breuer. That’s right: not only will Judas Priest’s Glen Tipton, Richie Faulkner and Rob Halford visit SiriusXM’s NYC headquarters, but 20 odd subscribers will be in the audience to ask the metal Gods some need-to-know questions.

Anyway, all of this excitement around Judas Priest’s 17th (!!) album got us thinking: 17 is a LOT of albums. Where does one even begin to get familiar with Priest if they’ve only ever toyed with the idea of checking them out? Or better yet, what are some of the best staple songs that a die-hard fan AND a heavy-metal newbie could enjoy… together?

We turned to Ozzy’s Boneyard and Liquid Metal programmers Brian Medlin and Jose Mangin for advice, and they willingly handpicked a few starter tracks that’d be perfect for a Judas Priest enthusiast and acolyte. Check it out!

1.) Breakin’ the Law

2.) You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’

3.) Screaming for Vengeance

4.) Painkiller

5.) Metalizer (New song!)

6. Living After Midnight

Listen to Judas Priest’s SiriusXM Town Hall on Tuesday 7/8 at 1 pm ET on Ozzy’s Boneyard and 8 pm ET on Liquid Metal. See siriusxm.com/ozzysboneyard and siriusxm.com/liquidmetal for additional air times.
