The epitome of hard rock, Los Angeles-based Guns N’ Roses crashed into the late ’80s as hard as their music. Within a year of releasing their debut album, Appetite for Destruction (1987), their fusing of glam-metal with funky and gritty sounds produced three hits: Sweet Child O’ Mine, Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City. Soon after the album rose to the No. 1 spot, they became one of the biggest, most notorious rock bands of their era.

The group solidified their legacy with G N’ R Lies (1988), Use Your Illusion I (1991), Use Your Illusion II (1991), The Spaghetti Incident? (1993), and Chinese Democracy (2008).

The original band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, and in the spring of 2016, Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan announced a reunion tour, Not in this Lifetime, which hits North America this month.

To celebrate this year’s 30th anniversary of Appetite for Destruction, SiriusXM is launching a limited-engagement channel: Guns N’ Roses Radio (Ch. 41). This is the only place subscribers can hear a SiriusXM-exclusive live Guns N’ Roses concert at the Apollo Theater. Additionally, the channel will play the band’s hits, artists that influenced them, live tracks and rarities. The channel launches Thursday, July 13 at 5 pm ET and continues through Saturday, July 22.
