The 2015-2016 NBA season is almost here, and to get ready for all the action the new season will bring, SiriusXM NBA Radio is visiting the training camps of 11 teams, bringing fans updates, interviews and insights from some of the best in the game. NBA Radio recently stopped by the camp of the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks are looking to get to the playoffs for the 15th time in 16 years.

Owner Mark Cuban is not fazed by the off-season deal that fell through with DeAndre Jordan.

“It’s surprising, but it didn’t hurt,” said Cuban. “Some deals you think you’ve got on the table and until you get the check and it clears, that’s life in the big city. So anybody who’s had any business success has been through those situations before. So look, it happens and you move on and sometimes the best deals you do are the ones you don’t do.”

Cuban spoke about the NBA playoff format, and what it would take to change the format so the teams with the 16 best records in the league would make it.

“The challenge isn’t just the playoffs, the challenge is having an unbalanced schedule,” he said. “In football, if you’re lined up against a weak conference you look great, right? So how do you solve that problem? Then you’ve got the issue of travel. So how do you deal with that problem? So, if we can come up with solutions there, I’m all for 1 to 16.”
