Monday morning on SiriusXM Bleacher Report Radio, Dan Levy posed the question:

In 2015, would you rather Adrian Peterson as your lead running back, or DeMarco Murray?

Murray enjoyed a career year in 2014, carrying the ball 392 times for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns. Murray also caught 57 passes (on 64 targets) for 416 receiving yards.

Peterson, meanwhile, sat out the final 15 games of the 2014 season while serving a suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Just two years ago, though, Peterson rushed for 2,097 yards, the second highest mark in NFL history.

Levy’s take? If you take the off-the-field issues away, Peterson is the choice.

“If I’m a general manager that doesn’t care about public relations, I would give it to Adrian Peterson. If I cared about football only, I would give it to Peterson. It’s been documented for years: When you have a guy with as many touches as Murray, he doesn’t survive the next two years.”
