Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant, left, defends against Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James during the first half of an NBA basketball game, Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, in Oakland, Calif.

For the third year in a row, the Golden State Warriors will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. On Thursday, the rubber match begins in Oakland – and SiriusXM NBA Radio will be covering every moment of the action.

Our hosts Justin Termine and Eddie Johnson are out in the Bay Area where they’ll be covering the action before the two teams step on the court. As you might expect, they don’t see eye-to-eye on who will win the latest installment. Termine has the Warriors winning in five, while Johnson sees the Cavs repeating last year’s title run in six.

“All I know is I think we’ve got the two best teams in the NBA and I feel like everything is unpredictable when it comes to the Finals,” Johnson said. “Last year, Warriors up 3-1, everyone thought it was over, and lo and behold, Cleveland comes back and wins it. I think we can sit back and enjoy this.”

No matter what happens, the series is sure to be a basketball lover’s dream as the league’s most talented players hit the court.

“We’re going to see 10-0 runs, 12-0 runs. What team is able to really be more consistent in doing that?” Johnson said. “Because we do know that at the end of the game both teams have quality players that can close and finish a basketball game.”

For Termine, Durant is the difference. Last year, the Cavs bested the Warriors in a fairly even series. This year, the Warriors will simply be too much with the firepower that Durant offers, he said.

Time will tell. Game 1 airs Thursday at 8:30 pm ET on SiriusXM NBA Radio, XM Ch. 86, Sirius Ch. 207.
