Good morning! A lot happens in sports, even when you’re busy doing other non-sports-y stuff. So here are the top headlines and moments from this yesterday, in case you missed anything while you were shaking your head at Ted Nugent’s anti-Semitic Facebook comments.

Daniel Bryan retires… NO! NO! NO!

We lead off with sad news as professional wrestler Daniel Bryan announced his retirement on WWE Monday Night Raw. Bryan, whose real name is Bryan Danielson, was known for his passion and dedication to sports entertainment, his underdog story as an undersized wrestler who overcame odds to become a champion, and of course, starting the “Yes!” movement.

Bryan spoke candidly about how he has suffered multiple concussions throughout his career and stated he cannot wrestle anymore due to the risk of further brain trauma. View highlights of his emotional goodbye, and relive highlights of his incredible career.

Top NBA highlights

There were so many highlights in the NBA that we couldn’t just pick one must-see moment. So here are some of the top plays from last night.

The top shot of the night comes from Andre Drummond from way downtown, 71 feet to be exact. It’s the longest shot in the NBA since 2007:

The top crossover was by Joe Johnson’s nasty step-back move on Jusuf Nurkic. Though unconfirmed, we have reason to believe that Nurkic is still on the ground.

The top dunk comes from rookie Karl-Anthony Towns with this monster drive and slam:

In a game that Cleveland fans probably hoped wouldn’t be that close, LeBron messed around and notched his 40th career triple-double in a win against Sacramento, while Kyrie Irving added 32. Check Bron-Bron’s highlights below:

Lastly, the top “womp-womp” comes from Timofey Mozgov, who got owned by the rim on his dunk attempt.

Get ’em next time, big fella.
