VOLUME (Ch. 106), the first-ever talk channel all about music, launched this week on SiriusXM – and what a week it was! Check out some of the highlights!

Feedback

Daily at 7 a.m. ET

Nik Carter and Lori Majewski started things off at 7 a.m. ET Monday on their daily show Feedback. It was an early call time for the hosts but, as Majewski put it: “It’s a small price to pay to be able to talk music every day.”

After the two hosts introduced themselves to their listeners for the first time, they continued their momentum with interviews from Lady Gaga, Robbie Daw (Idolator) and Kenny Loggins. During an emotional moment, Lady Gaga broke down in tears as she talked about her new autobiographical album Joanne.

The next day was just as big. The hosts were joined live by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation CEO Joel Peresman and 2014 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Stevie Van Zandt to announce the 2017 nominees.

Debatable

Daily at 7 a.m. ET

At 4 p.m. ET Monday, Alan Light and Mark Goodman were ready to go head-to-head on their new daily show, Debatable. The show offers the hosts, their guests and fans who call in a chance to share their opinions and debate different topics in music, from favorite artists to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees, to musical influences and role models.

You might not catch Goodman singing, “All of me loves all of you” to Light, but that just makes things more interesting!

Speaking of… John Legend stopped by the studio and discussed his musical influences and how he uses the music he loves to create fresh and new songs.

On Bill Flanagan’s first episode of Written In My Soul, he spoke with Robert Plant, who revealed that he almost abandoned his musical aspirations for a less public occupation: teaching.

Never Meet Your Heroes

New Monthly Episodes Air Thursdays at 7 p.m. ET

Anthrax’s frontman Scott Ian interviewed Corey Taylor of Slipknot for his first episode of Never Meet Your Heroes. Ian described Taylor as “the hardest working man in metal” and the two discussed Taylor’s music, Slipknot’s insane performance antics and more from his incredible career. The conversation took a sobering turn when Taylor candidly discussed his battles with alcoholism. He stopped drinking in 2016 and, both men agree, makes even better music now.

Melissa’s Basement

New Monthly Episodes Air Tuesdays 7 p.m. ET

David Crosby, founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, joined Melissa Etheridge to discuss the importance of making music with a message.

True Stories with Kurt Loder

New Monthly Episodes Air Fridays 7 p.m. ET

Kurt Loder and Billy Gibbons had an in-depth discussion as the ZZ Top lead vocalist and guitarist delved into stories from the band’s iconic career that even die-hard fans haven’t heard. Gibbons took the conversation as far back as when he was 12 years old and had the opportunity to study percussion under Latin music legend Tito Puente.
