This week on Morning Men with Evan Cohen and Mike Babchik (1/19-1/23)

A lot happens on the Morning Men on Mad Dog Sports Radio, so it’s a good thing that a guy like me takes notes on everything I’ve learned over the course of the week. However, what I learn each week is not what everyone else has learned, making the “What Babchik learned this week” segment on Morning Men not only a fun listen, but also an educational one.

Of course the big story of the week was Deflategate after we found out that 11 out of 12 of the Patriots’ footballs were not properly inflated during their win against the Colts. We brought former quarterback Chad Pennington on to talk us through what exactly goes on during an NFL game and whose idea it was to have teams use their own footballs during games.

Before Deflategate took over the news cycle most of the talk was about the Seahawks and their epic win over the Packers. Was it a great comeback by Seattle or was it really just a horrible collapse by Green Bay? We discussed it, and the people we blamed might surprise you.

Every Wednesday on Morning Men it’s draft day! In honor of National Beer Can day we decided to have a CAN draft! The first three picks are shocking, and set the tone for the strangest draft yet.

The big interview of the week was with legendary baseball player Pete Rose. That’s right, Charlie Hustle was on the show, and he talked about his desire to get back in the Hall, if he thinks Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds should be in there too and a whole lot more.

What a week for Morning Men and I can’t wait until next week! This weekend, I’ll be getting a haircut. I go to an Israeli barber and instead of having pictures of guys with their fresh cuts on the wall that you can point to, he has Israeli Prime Ministers on his wall. I usually point and say give me the Menachem Begin, but this week I might go with the Golda Meir …

Babchik OUT!
