This week on Morning Men with Evan Cohen and Mike Babchik (1/12-1/16)

WHAT I LEARNED THIS WEEK

A lot happens on the Morning Men on Mad Dog Sports Radio, so it’s a good thing that a guy like me takes notes on everything I’ve learned over the course of the week. However, what I learn each week is not what everyone else has learned, making the “What Babchik learned this week” segment on Morning Men not only a fun listen, but also an educational one.

THE CATCH THAT WASN’T

After the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, everyone was talking about the Dez Bryant catch that wasn’t. The catch would have put the Cowboys in a great position to win the game. Instead, the Cowboys are at home, and the Packers are moving on. We discussed the rule and if the catch was really a catch.

CHICKEN PARM IT TASTES SO GOOD

After the Broncos lost to the Colts and Peyton Manning was one and done in the playoffs for the ninth time, everyone said Manning would be back, because he can’t go out like that. Evan Cohen asked the question though: Isn’t losing in the playoffs the only way Peyton could go out? (A first-round loss and maybe a chicken parm …)

THE BIG INTERVIEW

The big interview of the week was with the great Tom Arnold, who stopped by the studio to talk about one of our favorites, The Best Damn Sports Show Period, and told us some of his amazing life stories that he may or may not remember.

THE WEEKLY DRAFT

Every Wednesday on Morning Men, it’s draft day! Early Wednesday morning, Evan found out that I had a secret talent: I’m an amazing whistler. So later on that morning we decided to draft … hidden talents!

What a week for Morning Men, and I can’t wait until next week! This weekend Ill be watching the conference championship games while wearing sweatpants, drinking Busch beer and eating hot dogs – all while protecting my two-week-old daughter from my three-and-a-half year-old son. The American dream …
