This Week In Video History: SiriusXM on the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 red carpet

There’s been a lot of Harry Potter in the news lately — some good, and some, well, not so good. Let’s get the bad out of the way first: Last Friday (7/11), 50-year-old British actor David Legeno died while hiking near Death Valley, California. He was perhaps best known for playing werewolf villain Fenrir Greyback in three Harry Potter movie installments: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows (Parts I and II).

Costar Emma Watson tweeted her condolences on Saturday:

In happier Harry Potter news, author J.K. Rowling recently published a new Harry Potter story almost seven years after the release of her last book in the series. Published on Rowling’s website, Pottermore, the author’s new story is “written” by Potter gossip columnist Rita Skeeter and revisits the series’ central characters, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, as grown ups in the wizarding world.

Anyway, with all this Harry Potter news, we thought now would be a great time to dig back in the SiriusXM video archives to watch more on Harry Potter! Here’s what we found: Around this time three years ago, SiriusXM walked on the red carpet for the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (released 7/15, 2011). Around the same time, SiriusXM also spoke with character actors Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley) and Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy) about parenting in Harry Potter, James and Oliver Phelps (the Weasley Twins) about Quidditch, and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) and Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) about the “Gambon Turn.”
