A quick math equation:

Convincing win over division rival + soft schedule = Super Bowl aspirations.

Wednesday on No Huddle, former Buffalo Bills Jim Kelly and Steve Tasker spoke about the 2013 iteration of their team, and the chances to make some noise in the AFC playoff picture. Kelly specifically noted Buffalo, 4-7 after a convincing win over the New York Jets, won’t have much competition over the final five weeks of the season.

“It doesn’t look too bad. I looked down through the schedule, and all the sudden you look and there’s games you definitely can win,” Kelly said, referring to the Bills’ games against the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. “That New England game can mean something in the end, and trust me, beginning of the season, I never would’ve thought that.”

So, what, Buffalo might be able to eek into the postseason as a wild card or as the winner of a weak AFC East, right? Maybe not. Evoking the New York Giants’ last two Super Bowl runs, Kelly suggested a championship isn’t out of the question for EJ Manuel and Co.
