Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (30) dribbles against Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving (2) during the first half of Game 1 of basketball’s NBA Finals in Oakland, Calif., Thursday, June 2, 2016.

Cavs-Warriors III is officially on, and with it comes the player comparisons, naturally.

Hall of Fame point guard Gary Payton joined Justin Termine and Eddie Johnson on NBA Today to discuss one of the many marquee matchups in the NBA Finals.

“Kyrie is a scorer, a natural-born scorer that can beat you off the dribble, can do a lot of things,” Payton said. “Curry is a player who’s a straight, pure shooter…and now he’s getting really good at getting to the basket with all the crossovers and things like that.”
