In addition to daily shows like Feedback, Trunk Nation and Debatable, we’ll be bringing you new monthly and weekly series hosted by the likes of the Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik, renowned studio musician and producer Steve Jordan, and longtime SiriusXM radio personality Larry Flick.

Get a taste of VOLUME’s new offerings below!

CHORUS AND VERSE

Monthly series hosted by John Rzeznik

Songs have a way of finding you, embedding into your mind and becoming the soundtrack to your life. But how the songs find you — the journey — is quite a process. Sometimes it takes months or even years to get a song just right. Sometimes all it takes is a hotel room, a notepad, a pen and a few hours. Every artist approaches the art of songwriting differently. For some it is therapy, others it can be tortuous, and for a few, it is simply a job.

John Rzeznik is the lead vocalist, guitarist and co-founder of The Goo Goo Dolls. Over the past three decades, he has written many songs including chart toppers that have been heard by millions. Eleven albums and over 100 songs later, John is still trying to craft, perfect and push the boundaries of songwriting. In this new SiriusXM show, Chorus and Verse, John sits down with his peers and heroes to dig deep into the songwriting process.

The first episode features an interview with Chad Kroger of Nickleback followed in September by Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20.

Premieres: Monday, August 21 at 7 pm ET

LAYIN’ IT DOWN

Monthly series hosted by Steve Jordan

Steve Jordan is a musician and record producer who has seen it all. Throughout his 40 years in music,  he’s sat behind the drum kit, mixing board and performed live for some the biggest names in the business including Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Alicia Keys, John Mayer and Beyoncé just to name a few. Layin’ It Down with Steve Jordan is your opportunity to hang out with Steve as he has intimate conversations with music’s elite. These are much more than your standard interviews – it’s just two friends discussing what music means to them. This is what Layin’ It Down with Steve Jordan is all about.

The first episode features an interview with Bill Withers followed by September’s episode featuring Robert Cray.

Premieres: Tuesday, August 22 at 7 pm ET

MY FIRST TIME

Weekly series hosted by Larry Flick

What was your reaction the first time you saw the Beatles on TV?  What was the first record you purchased? What was the first song that made you cry? SiriusXM radio personality and former Billboard Magazine editor Larry Flick digs deep into the soul of an artist to find out how these and many other “firsts” shaped their music, their careers and their lives. My First Time is more than a talk show. It’s like therapy for musicians.

The first episode features an interview with fellow VOLUME newcomer John Rzeznik followed on Sept. 1 by Ann Wilson of Heart with future episodes featuring Vince Clark, Alison Moyet, John Oats and Todd Rundgren.

Premieres: Friday, August 25 at 7 pm ET
