SiriusXM slides to Miami for MLB All-Star coverage

The 2017 MLB All-Star Game is heading to Miami and SiriusXM will be in attendance.

The 2017 MLB All-Star Game is heading to Miami and SiriusXM will be in attendance. MLB Network Radio, Mad Dog Sports Radio and SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio will all be broadcasting live throughout the week.

MLB Network Radio is kicking off the weekend on Sunday, July 9, with exclusive coverage of the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, which pits the top United States minor league prospects against their international counterparts. Pregame coverage starts at 1:00 pm ET with a special edition of Minors and Majors hosted by Grant Paulsen. The Futures Game broadcast begins at 4:00 pm ET with Mike Ferrin and former MLB GM Jim Duquette in the booth to call the game. Former MLB GM Jim Bowden and Paulsen will be contributing with reports from the dugouts.

The national broadcast of both the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday, July 10 at 8:00 pm ET and the All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 11 at 7:30 pm ET will air on MLB Network Radio, with pre- and post-game coverage live from Marlins Park.

Other exclusive SiriusXM programming from MLB All-Star Week will include SiriusXM’s Chris “Mad Dog” Russo hosting his daily show live from Marlins Park on Monday and Tuesday at 5:00 pm ET with special guest, MLB Commissioner, Rob Manfred joining on Monday at 6:00 pm ET. Russo will also host his MLB Network TV show, High Heat with Christopher Russo, from Miami on Monday and Tuesday at 4:00 pm ET and those will be simulcast on MLB Network Radio.

SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and MLB Network Radio will both broadcast live shows from Yard House in Miami Beach on Saturday, July 8 from 12:00-2:00 pm ET and 4:00-7:00 pm ET respectively.

MLB Network Radio will also be airing a special to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Marlins first World Championship on Friday, July 7 at 5:00 pm ET. Welcome to Miami: The Rise of the Marlins will be hosted by former Marlins broadcaster Tommy Hutton and features several members of the 1997 Marlins including GM Dave Dombrowski, Manager Jim Leyland, and players Bobby Bonilla, Jeff Conine and Gary Sheffield.
