Two-time Oscar Award-winning actress Sally Field stopped by The Howard Stern Show for the first time on Monday to discuss her new film, Hello, My Name Is Doris. But things got much deeper than just the new project Field is promoting. She also touched on her political views, saying that she is hoping for Hillary Clinton to receive the Democratic nomination.

“I have been always for Hillary Clinton that they don’t even ask me anymore,” she said.

Clinton faces the tough challenge of going up against Bernie Sanders, which Field said she understands but still believes Clinton is the right choice.

“I think there’s a lot of reasons for it. I think it’s an important dialogue he’s creating, but I’d like it to be over,” Field said with a laugh. “I’d like to see her get the nomination.”

Field went on to say that as the campaign has drawn on and tensions between the two candidates have grown stronger, she no longer sees Sanders the same way.

“To me, he’s losing my respect because at first I had a great deal of respect for him and now I just see him being hungry for his own achievement against the things he was really fighting for and how important it is now to have at least one party that’s acting in a civil fashion,” Field said. “I don’t want to see him yelling at anybody, at her, oh God no, not at her. They’re talking about real issues and really important things, and I think he’s losing his decency in this.”

She continued, “At the beginning I thought, ‘Wow, he’s an important voice to be heard,’ and she hears that. I love the fact that I heard the other day, somebody said in a town hall ‘I really like him’ and she said, ‘I like him too. I like him too. He’s an important, important voice and I hope on the other side of this we can find a way to work together on some of the things that we’re bringing up.’ That’s important to say and it’s so antithetical to what’s happening on the other side. So it’s a horrifying time.”
