They’re the Los Angeles Rams, meaning that playing in the cold and snow on the road would figure to be a challenge, especially to their high-flying offense.

That was one of the major storylines as the Rams took their perfect record to Denver Sunday. And they made it seem like a non-factor in beating the Broncos, 23-20, to improve to 6-0 and stand as the NFL’s only unbeaten team.

‘We woke up to snow all on the ground’

The Rams’ offense was as highly productive as always, with Todd Gurley running for 208 yards and two touchdowns, and quarterback Jared Goff throwing for 201 yards — 109 of them on seven catches by Robert Woods.

“We woke up to snow all on the ground, snow pregame, snow a little bit in the game,” Woods told Zig Fracassi on NFL Rewind. “But it’s just elements of the game. I think our whole team is focused on the task at hand. We’re not worried about the elements, any outside distractions or factors. I think our biggest game is just staying poised, staying focused and just playing in between the lines.”

‘(Todd Gurley’s) a beast back there’

Woods fully expected such an approach by two of the team’s biggest stars, Gurley and Goff.

“I mean, he’s a beast back there,” the receiver said of Gurley. “He’s big, fast, strong. Guaranteed almost five yards every time he touches the ball, but that’s our work horse. And it showed (Sunday). We put it on the ground and he carried this team.”

‘He’s our leader, he’s going to step up and play in any conditions’

Woods insisted he wasn’t the least bit concerned with Goff’s ability to handle the Denver weather.

“No, we’re confident in our quarterback’s ability,” Woods said. “That never even came up in our head about him and a cold game. He’s our leader, he’s going to step up and play in any conditions, any weather and get the win like he did (Sunday).”
