Dolly Parton’s eclectic resume transcends country superstardom — the “Backwoods Barbie” is not only known for hits like I Will Always Love You, Jolene and Coat of Many Colors, but she is also an actress, theme-park mogul, philanthropist and more. Parton starred in the films 9 to 5 and Rhinestone and had a successful television variety show called Dolly! She also partially owns a 150-acre theme park in Tennessee: Dollywood. And in 2016, Parton released a children’s album, I Believe in You. 

The amalgamation of her iconic look, invaluable sense of humor and impeccable pipes makes Parton more than a country queen: She’s a bonafide legend who turns 72 this year on Jan. 19!
