“Quiero Creedence”

The summer heat waves are here in full force and with them arrives the much anticipated and buzzed about album “Quiero Creedence”; a Latin tribute to the music of iconic rock group Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Creedence Clearwater Revival’s (CCR) music has always had a huge following throughout Latin America and this album is much more than just a tribute because Grammy and Latin Grammy winning (and nominated) artists like Los Lonely Boys, Enrique Bunbury, Los Lobos, Salvador Santana, Ozomatli, Diamante Eléctrico Los Enanitos Verdes, Juan Gabriel, Juanes and so many more, have chosen their favorite CCR songs and reinterpreted them with their own signature sound and flair.

Classic Creedence songs like “Fortunate Son” in the voice of Oakland, California group Bang Data who inject a dose of hip hop and cumbia-esque sounds into an iconic track that still resonates today are part of this unique album. Latin rock icon and pillar Enrique Bunbury fuses his soulful, mysterious voice and vibe into “Corre por la Jungla” his version of “Run Through the Jungle” where a salsa inspired break perfectly paints a portrait of the influence CCR had on the Latin audience and broke the language gap in inspiring generations of artists and music aficionados.
