Howard Stern? Nervous? That’s what happens when music legend Sir Paul McCartney stops by The Howard Stern Studios.

Sir Paul and Howard touched on an assortment of topics Tuesday on The Howard Stern Show, including McCartney’s upcoming album, NEW, and what led to its recording:

“I write songs, I love what I do, and I hadn’t done one for a while,” McCartney said. “I thought it was time I go back to my day job.”

The Beatles’ break-up in 1970:

“We had this crazy success, and suddenly, ‘Bingo,’ it was gone you know, like overnight,” McCartney said. “It was like ‘OK, what do we do now?'”
