Ndamukong Suh is known for being a nasty presence in the middle of a defense.

The 6-foot-4, 313-pound tackle built that reputation through five seasons with the Detroit Lions, who made him the second overall pick of the 2010 draft, and three seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

‘I don’t know anybody who can’t be having fun at 5-0’

But Suh can’t help but often wear a smile these days as his current club, the Los Angeles Rams, is off to a 5-0 start.

“I don’t know anybody who can’t be having fun at 5-0,” Suh told Zig Fracassi on NFL Rewinds. “So I’m having a blast. I can’t complain by any means.”

‘When it came down to crunch time, we found ways to get off the field’

The Rams’ fifth victory of the season, 33-31 against the Seattle Seahawks, was one of the more difficult. The Rams’ defense had gone into the game knowing they couldn’t let the Seahawks’ running game get rolling, but it did, to the tune of 190 yards on 32 carries. However, the unit did come up big when it had to, forcing the Seahawks to punt with 3:28 left. The Rams killed off the remaining time.

“We had to contain them in the run game, which we didn’t do a very good job of,” Suh said. “But when it came down to crunch time, we found ways to get off the field and that’s most important. It allows us to get back home, figure out our mistakes, and go from there. We see how dominant our offense can be. The more chances we give them, the better off we’ll be.”

‘Very proud of (Todd Gurley), love the kid and I’m excited for him’

A key component of that dominant offense is running back Todd Gurley. Suh is thrilled to have him on his side.

“Todd Gurley’s amazing,” Suh said. “You continue to watch him from the sidelines and he’s just one of those elite running backs and a guy that’s always going to make the right decision. Very proud of him, love the kid and I’m excited for him.”
