Only four of the 85 hosts participating in SiriusXM’s Pigskin Pick’em game predicted the Cleveland Browns would top the Minnesota Vikings Sunday afternoon. Two of those hosts came from the SiriusXM Hits 1 Morning Mash Up.

Ryan Sampson and Stanley T scored some Browns-ie points — Get it? — by nailing arguably the biggest upset of Week 3, the Trent Richardson-less, Brian Hoyer-led Browns beating the now-0-3 Vikings, 31-27.

The Bill Engvall Show’s Gary Brightwell and Matsimela Mapfumo of SiriusXM’s Make It Plain also picked Cleveland to win.

All four upset specialists are well behind the leaders, though. For the second straight week, Ross Tucker is alone in first among hosts, now 37-11 overall after a 10-6 week. He’s also fourth on the overall leaderboard, two wins behind “Southportboy.”

Tucker’s lead did shrink by a game, though, as DrRoto pulled off a 12-4 week to move to 36-12.

The top five:

  1. Ross Tucker (37-11)
  2. DRRoto (36-10)
  3. Doria Biddle (35-13)
  4. Pete Pistone (35-13)
  5. The Agenda (35-13)

Other notable SiriusXM hosts after Week 3:

Despite his not making a pick for the Thursday night game, SiriusXM NFL Radio’s Gil Brandt is just three games behind Ross Tucker at 34-14. (We should also offer a belated congratulations to Brandt, who went a ridiculous 14-2 in Week 2.)

Derek VanRiper, second place after Week 2, fell four games back of Tucker after correctly picking eight games.

Week 1 leader Steve Phillips’ fall from grace continued. He’s now 32-16 following a sub-.500, 7-9 Week 3.

The battle for Busted Open Nation bragging rights is tied up, as both Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca are 29-19.

Chris “Mad Dog” Russo saw his pick’em struggles continue. After an 8-8 Week 3, he’s 27-21.

As for me? A second straight 9-7 week — baby steps, guys — and I’m now locked in at 26-22, in the 68th percentile. Eesh.
