With the Home Run Derby behind us, the 2015 MLB All-Star Game is finally here, as the NL and AL’s elite will compete tonight at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.

Some of the biggest stars on the rosters spoke with SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio recently, including San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey, who will get the start tonight behind the plate for the NL in his third career appearance at the midsummer classic. Posey spoke about playing in the big game and what it means to him.

“It’s a big honor,” Posey said. “I think anytime you’re recognized by the fans, it’s something that’s humbling. I’m just appreciative of the opportunity.”

Home Run Derby champion and Cincinnati Reds third basemen Todd Frazier spoke about playing in the game on his team’s home turf, as well as being the ambassador for the game.

“I can’t wait to hear the ovation, I think that’s going to be the best part of it,” Frazier said. “It’s so exciting. It came quick, and now it’s showtime. Let’s go, let’s put on a show.”

MLB Network Radio also spoke with Washington National’s pitcher Max Scherzer about his dominant first half of the season.

Listen to the MLB All-Star pregame show at 5 pm ET on MLB Network Radio, followed by the game on MLB Network Radio, with coverage provided by ESPN Radio.
