SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio hosts Glenn Colton and Rick Wolf brought fantasy legend Ron Shandler on the show Tuesday.

Shandler discussed the future of fantasy baseball, specifically making mention of the additional variables in today’s game. Shandler said that “to be able to project player performance over 6 months is incredibly difficult” due to factors including the rising rate of players hitting the disabled list and the uptick in PED usage among players.

Shandler’s long list of fantasy achievements include being the first to use sabermetrics in fantasy baseball league play, founding and publishing the annual Baseball Forecaster. He is also the only person to win both the NL and AL Tout Wars competitions in the same season.

Listen to more of Shandler’s thoughts on fantasy baseball below, including how he views daily and monthly fantasy leagues in today’s baseball climate.

Catch Colton & The Wolfman Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on Sirius channel 210 and XM channel 87.
