Keith Urban is ready to take on 2016 in a big way. Earlier today on The Highway (Ch. 56), the Aussie country star announced his upcoming RipCord World Tour, his widest trek in nearly two years, and revealed that his ninth studio album of the same name should be ready by tour’s end.

The Ripcord tour will hit more than 50 cities during its first leg with Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris (one of SiriusXM’s 2016 Artists to Watch) opening each show.

Tickets go on sale for some markets on January 29, and additional legs of the tour are expected to be announced at a later date.

“We’ve been working on it most of last year trying to figure out who we can bring out with us and put a show together like we’ve never done before,” Urban said, promising that both of his openers can truly deliver live.

As part of Keith Urban Exclusive 2016 Ripcord Tour Announcement from SiriusXM’s Music City Theater, Urban and his openers performed a cover of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.
