When you’re presumed to be one of the top quarterback prospects in the NFL Draft, you tend to draw a lot of attention.

That’s the case with former Wyoming standout Josh Allen, especially as he gets ready for Friday’s Pro Day in Laramie.

‘Obviously, you want to showcase your talent and showcase your ability and also showcase improvement that you’ve made’

Allen has prepared not only a list of about 74 throws he plans to execute, but also is expecting to have days filled with meetings with representatives of various NFL teams.

“The script is really just a plan of what types of throws you’re going to make at Pro Day,” Allen told Alex Marvez and Gil Brandt on Late Hits. “Obviously, you want to showcase your talent and showcase your ability and also showcase improvement that you’ve made over the past offseason. We’ve got about 74 throws and that should demonstrate every type of throw, every instance of throw, so I’m looking forward to Friday for sure.”

‘I’m meeting with quite a bit of teams’

Is there anything on the script that might allow him to replicate the 70-yard pass that drew plenty of “ooohs” and “ahhhs” during last February’s NFL Scouting Combine at Indianapolis? “It might be back there somewhere,” Allen said.

He expects a very busy stretch of days leading up to when he takes the field.

‘Pro Day is just kind of one thing more to check off the box’

“My schedule’s pretty jammed packed,” Allen said. “I’m meeting with quite a bit of teams. They want to come to Laramie, they want to get to know who I am, so sitting down to dinner with a few teams. Obviously, they’ve all seen me throw the past couple months and throughout my collegiate career. But Pro Day is just kind of one thing more to check off the box.”
