Since spraining his ankle in the Broncos’ victory over the Chargers on Sunday, Peyton Manning’s status against the Chiefs this week – and for the rest of the season, for that matter – has been a big topic of discussion. Former NFL head coach John Madden gave his take on Manning’s health Wednesday on Mad Dog Sports Radio.

“The important thing is that as he’s working through this injury and playing, as we all know he’s going to, that he doesn’t really get hurt,” Madden said. “If he can get through this, and kind of get better each week and not get get hurt worse because of it, then it’ll be a plus for him.”
