If nobody else believes in Robert Griffin III, at the very least, he believes in himself.

The Washington Redskins quarterback had fans, players and reporters scratching their heads last week, after he called himself the best in the league at his position. It’s definitely bold talk for a player who’s only won a third of his starts the past two seasons – which is why former Redskins’ QB Joe Theismann told SiriusXM NFL Radio that Griffin needs to be quiet.

“It’s time to just go play football, that’s what he has to do,” said Theismann. “When you’re 5-15, and you’ve got guys like Aaron Rodgers — World Champion. Tom Brady — World Champion. Peyton Manning — World Champion. Eli Manning — World Champion. Tony Romo making leaps and bounds a year ago. Drew Brees. And the list goes on and on and on and on and on, and you’re 5-15, you just can’t say that verbally and publicly.”
