Los Angeles Dodgers star outfielder Yasiel Puig was arrested Saturday for speeding on Alligator Alley in Florida. According to reports, Puig was traveling 110 mph. The arrest comes months after Puig was arrested and charged with speeding and reckless driving in Tennessee.

MLB Network Radio’s Jim Bowden criticized Puig following news of the arrest, and advised the Dodgers to take action to protect themselves in the event of another incident.

I think it’s a reminder on why the Dodgers need to keep four outfielders. It’s not just because Carl Crawford‘s been injury prone. It’s not because Matt Kemp can’t stay healthy the last couple of years. It’s because of situations like this. And every time you think Yasiel Puig is about to become a superstar, a megastar, all of a sudden you see him do this. Whether it’s on or off the field, sometimes he just goes 110 mph and you can’t stop him. So I sit there disappointed, disappointed that the kid had come so far and to have this type of arrest. And I think if you’re the Dodgers, you need to have the weapon, that we can option you out. We need to have the option that, “You know what, Yasiel? We don’t care how talented you are, if you’re gonna be this immature, if you’re gonna be this out of control, we’ll park you in Triple-A.”
