Howard announced some big news Wednesday morning:

His birthday party will stream for free, for everyone, right here on

Howard Stern’s Birthday Bash, broadcasting live at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, starts with a pre-show at 4 pm ET on Jan. 31. The main event, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, begins at 6 pm ET. Confirmed guests include Louis C.K., David Letterman and Sarah Silverman, with musical performances by Jon Bon Jovi, John Fogerty, Steven Tyler and many others. (It’s probably worth tuning into Howard’s show between now and the Bash, as VIP guests and performers, special Birthday Bash content and other surprises will be revealed on The Howard Stern Show.)

The free stream will be available on compatible mobile devices as well as online through simple one-click listening; you won’t have to download an app or enter credentials. (Click here for full details on access to the stream.)

“I am honored by the number of performers who want to join me on stage, and the number of fans who want to get in,” Howard said. “Now, thanks to SiriusXM, I can give the world access to this event for free through this special internet audio stream in addition to my fans listening on their satellite radios.”

Not going to be able to get to a computer – or your SiriusXM radio – Friday night? A free encore presentation of Howard Stern’s Birthday Bash will air Monday, Feb. 3, at 6 am ET through the free stream on
