Gabriel Sherman, contributing editor at New York Magazine, joined Ari Rabin-Havt on The Agenda on SiriusXM Progress Thursday morning to discuss his latest book, The Loudest Voice in the Room. The book paints an unflattering portrait of Roger Ailes’ tenure as President of Fox News.

“(Roger Ailes) is a visual artist… To drive home the point that (the Affordable Care Act) is flawed, ‘let’s just show Americans how big the bill is,'” Sherman recalled.

This led to Ailes’ “powerful political image” of Betsy McCaughey waving a stack of papers the size of the ACA bill around on Fox News, symbolizing “the end of America as we know it”, Sherman hyperbolized on The Agenda.
