Here, the doctor is always in.
For 10 years, millions of listeners around the world have tuned in to Doctor Radio for the latest health information and enlightening discussions on breakthroughs and discoveries in medicine and research. And they’ve covered it all. From face transplants to facelifts, from open heart surgery to “broken heart syndrome,” no subject is off-limits.
On Feb. 27, SiriusXM will mark this momentous occasion with a special 10th anniversary celebration, bringing together the best and brightest from NYU Langone and SiriusXM Radio.
And it’s something worth celebrating, because very few SiriusXM stations “can attest that they have provided content that has changed – and literally saved – people’s lives. We feel that is something worth celebrating,” Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer for SiriusXM Radio said.
Volunteer firefighter Patrick Hardison recently shared his story of undergoing one of the world’s most extensive face transplants with SiriusXM Doctor Radio’s Perri Peltz.
Hardison talked about his failing vision and the moment he opened his eyes for the first time post surgery.
Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez detailed the experience and noted the teams finished Hardison’s surgery within 10 minutes of their target.
