Seven-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady is switching sports.

After a professional basketball career that spanned 15 years and included over 18,000 points, McGrady is following in the footsteps of Michael Jordan and trying his hand at baseball. (Jordan famously retired from the NBA and signed with the Birmingham Barons of the White Sox organization in 1994.)

On Tuesday, the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball announced McGrady would be pursuing his pitching career with the club.

If the Skeeters sound familiar, a certain 50-year-old MLB ace revived his career with the team: Roger Clemens. So it should come to no surprise that The Rocket is helping The Big Sleep with his pitching development.

Tuesday night, T-Mac joined MLB Roundtrip’s Jeff Joyce on MLB Network Radio and discussed how he always wanted to play baseball, where his pitching development stands and how helpful Clemens has been.
