Farm Aid 30 live from Chicago with Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews + more!

Thirty years after its inaugural concert, America’s longest running annual benefit series blows into the Windy City for Farm Aid 30, which will be broadcast live from Chicago on founder and president Willie Nelson’s exclusive SiriusXM channel, Willie’s Roadhouse.

“We organized the first Farm Aid concert in Illinois in 1985 to respond to the people suffering during the Farm Crisis,” Willie recalled. “Thirty years later, in Chicago, we’ll bring together so many of the people — farmers, eaters, advocates and activists — who have made the progress of the Good Food Movement possible. At Farm Aid 30, we’ll celebrate the impact we’ve had and rally our supporters for the work ahead.”

For the 30th anniversary festivities, Willie will be joined by Farm Aid fellow board members Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews (performing with Tim Reynolds), along with a diverse lineup of talent including Imagine Dragons, Jack Johnson, Kacey Musgraves, Jamey Johnson and Old Crow Medicine Show, along with hometown hero soul and gospel legend Mavis Staples.

As always, Farm Aid will be a family affair, as Willie’s sons Lukas and Micah and their bands, Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real and Insects vs Robots will both perform, fresh from accompanying Neil Young on his recent tour to support his his new album, The Monsanto Years, and John Mellencamp’s nephew Ian Mellencamp will make his Farm Aid debut.

Farm Aid 30 will be broadcast live from FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in downtown Chicago on Saturday, September 19 beginning at 1 pm ET, with backstage interviews and behind-the-scenes coverage from host Dallas Wayne, only on Willie’s Roadhouse, SiriusXM Ch. 59.
