Throughout the fantasy baseball draft season, Cincinnati Reds rookie center fielder Billy Hamilton has been the topic of many heated debates. While everyone recognizes Hamilton’s speed, many question if he will be able to hit major league pitching consistently.

Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips joined The RotoExperts on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and has come away impressed with his young teammate.

I call him the road runner. He’s going to be a rookie, but as long as he goes out there and (plays) to his ability and what he brings to the table, (he will be fine). I tell you one thing, this dude can really run. He’s very fast.

The wide range of opinion on Hamilton hasn’t been echoed by the experts of fantasy baseball. The hosts of SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio held their draft recently and Hamilton was drafted in the 6th round. He was also drafted in the 6th round of L.A.B.R. Mixed, F.S.T.A Mixed, and Tout Wars Mixed, all with the top fantasy baseball minds in the business participating. The winning bid for Hamilton in the L.A.B.R. National League Only auction draft that was held earlier in the month was $28.
