Saturday Night Live spoofed the ending of the 1989 Robin Williams drama Dead Poets Society in a spectacularly bloody fashion.
(The sketch defies words, so watch it below.)
And star Ethan Hawke thinks imitation is the sincerest — and funniest — form of flattery.
“I saw it, and is it safe to say I lost my lunch laughing? I loved it,” the actor told Pete Dominick after their interview Wednesday. “All the Dead Poets, actually, we were texting it to each other back and forth.”

Stand Up! with Pete Dominick airs weekdays at 9 am ET on SiriusXM Insight (Ch. 121).
