Elvis Costello on being banned from SNL & trying to get arrested in Japan

It was 1997 and Elvis Costello was filling in for the Sex Pistols on Saturday Night Live. The English singer-songwriter was supposed to perform Less than Zero. But it was this performance that led to the him being banned from SNL.

It was 1977. The height of the Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd era on Saturday Night Live.

Elvis Costello was filling in for the Sex Pistols and was set to perform Less than Zero during one of the shows. But it was this performance that led to the English singer-songwriter being banned from SNL. Costello recently shared his side of the story with SiriusXM VOLUME host Bill Flanagan.

Costello also talked about how he tried (and failed) to get arrested in Japan.
