When looking at his free agency options this summer, Derrick Rose considers winning “priority one, two and three,” according to his agent, B.J. Armstrong.

“Of course, you’re going to take into account what city, what system, and all those things,” Armstrong told SiriusXM NBA Radio on Thursday. “You just want to put yourself in position where you can have an opportunity to win.”

When asked whether or not he thinks Rose can accomplish that goal in New York, Armstrong said it’s a possibility.

“I just think right now getting adjusted to playing in a new system, moving to a new city, new coach, new players and all those things, you know, it takes time,” Armstrong said. “But I think Derrick still feels that he can make an impact on winning, and I think that can happen there in New York.”

He added: “He’s not ready to just say, ‘you know what, I’m looking to latch on to the best team’ and just be a role player.”
