Dee Snider is making it clear, his career in music is far from over. The former Twisted Sister frontman has signed a deal with Napalm Records for the July release of a new album titled For the Love of Metal.

The New York native stopped by SiriusXM’s NYC studio and spoke with VOLUME (Ch. 106)‘s Eddie Trunk on Trunk Nation about the decision to lay Twisted Sister to rest and discussed what he didn’t want to happen to his rock ‘n’ roll legacy.

The rock band called it quits in 2016 after completing a farewell 40th-anniversary tour. The band’s last concert took place in November of that year — 20 months after the passing of Twisted’s longtime drummer A.J. Pero.

Snider also talked about the time Twisted Sister had received a request from a pre-menopausal company, who wanted to create commercials using the iconic tune “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”
